Safety Initiative (FSI) The Food Safety Initiative is part of the Food Safety and Quality component of the Agricultural Policy Framework, a federal-provincial-territorial strategy which addresses the long-term sustainability and profitability in the agriculture and agri-food sector. FSI Outreach for Meat Slaughter and Dairy A special part of the FSI program is delivering education and training specifically towards BC's many meat processors and dairies. Often in very rural settings, the SSFPA has advisors visit these plants to do assessments and offer assistance and training. This program is being delivered in cooperation with the BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) who licenses and regulates these plants in BC. The
